#SoulfulSundays: Be Thankful…

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it’s so important that we use this season to not focus on what we don’t have, in the form of a permanent boo to hold onto (yet) but that we focus on what we do have, which is Him.
Not only do we have God’s love which will never leave us or forsake us, but we also have something else many may not have even thought about or considered…whether you’re single as a result of divorce, widowed, or never been married, the thing we all have in common and should be definitely grateful for is a fresh start.
Thank God for the relationships that didn’t work out, and the heartache and pain God spared you from.
Thank God for the opportunity to love, even if it resulted in disappointment, because it simply means you’ve lived.
Thank God for all the many mistakes you’ve made in the past, because you now have an opportunity to heal from and learn from them and start over again and get it right next time.
Not saying things will be always be perfect, but thank God for the opportunity to, from this day forward, pursue God’s perfect will for your life, remaining focused, not settling, and doing something different this time as God leads you which will ensure your success in every area of life.
So yes, you do have a lot to be thankful for, and one of the most important things to thank God for is another day, and another opportunity to get it right.

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23
This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.  Psalm 118:24
But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Proverbs 4:18
Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. Isaiah 42:9
Be and STAY Encouraged!
