Life is about moving forward. Every day is a new beginning; every month is a new start & every year a new dawn. As we enter in a new year, let’s continue to move F.O.R.W.A.R.D.! –
F – Get rid of fear. This is one of my biggest issues. I have ultimate fear of what my future holds, but that doesn’t mean I should let it immobilize me (which I’ve been known to do). Pray, ask for help & face those fears head on so they will eventually be forced to go away.
O – be open to new friends, new opportunities and new adventures. What’s the point of living life if you can’t enjoy what’s out there?!
R – nourish relationships. It is of the utmost importance to take care of the people who take care of you. As an example, my friends are very important to me so I try to be the best friend I can towards them.
W – stop wasting time. I’ve got this “skill” down to a science. But nothing good comes out of wasting time – either your own or other people’s.
A – ask more of God. There is nothing wrong with asking – for ANYTHING! We’ve all heard the scripture, “Ask & ye shall receive” so why be afraid? There’s nothing too hard (or even too embarrassing) to ask God for. As a matter of fact, He loves it when we do come to Him. Besides, isn’t that what we’re supposed to do when we need help anyway?
R – read more. I can’t say this enough – I LOVE TO READ. It is one of my favorite pastimes & doesn’t cost me a penny! Picking up a book has never done anyone any harm & is the best way to learn. *There’s a reason why the book is always better than the movie*
D – Reduce the drama. Life is too short to have to deal with unnecessary drama. While it may be exciting at times, too much drama can have a severe impact on your health & has the potential to weaken your closest relationships.
How do you plan on moving F.O.R.W.A.R.D. in your own life? I’d love to hear some examples; feel free to share in the comments section below –
