In this Christian walk, through the many twists and turns our lives may encounter – it’s important
not to be an island.
Satan wants you to believe that whatever you’re going through – you’re the only one and that
something is wrong with you for feeling the way you feel or having to go through
whatever you’re going through right now.
Whatever challenge you may be facing right now – don’t go at it alone.
Find an outlet, a shelter to run to and someone to talk to and “get it out.”
Yes, Jesus is your shelter and refuge, but He also put in place people in your life to listen and to help you.
The Word of God says, “in a multitude of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14) so confiding in someone is actually safe and wise.
Whether it’s your pastor, a minister on staff at your church, a Christian support group for whatever you’re dealing with (as you discover you’re not the only one dealing with a certain issue), or a close, spiritually mature friend you trust – talk about it and talk it through.
You may find, in talking it through, a divine answer, revelation, peace and healing waiting for you.
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. Proverbs 19:20
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17
